ANTHONY HAYES
Anthony produced, directed, co-wrote, and starred in the thriller Gold (2022), starring Zac Efron which saw him nominated for the Golden Frog for Best Director at Camerimage 2022.
The film earned nominations for Best Independent Film (Saturn Awards), Best Oceanic Film (Septimus Awards), Best Cinematography (Camerimage), Best Makeup (AACTA), Best Sound (ASG), acting honours for Hayes (Best Supporting Actor, FCCA) and Efron (Best Actor, FCCA). It sold to all territories in the world and is currently playing on HULU, STAN, AMAZON PRIME and other platforms across the globe.
His earlier work includes short feature New Skin (IF Award for Best New Director, Best film Sydney Film Festival - Fiction over 15 mins), Sweet Dreams, (Audience Award St Kilda Film Festival) as well as the feature Ten Empty which saw him nominated for Victorian and Qld premier’s literary award for best screenplay, the film had its world premiere at Sydney Film Festival and was distributed by ICON. Anthony co-produced, Directed and Co-wrote.
As a writer, Anthony penned the upcoming TV series about Australia’s most notorious bank robber, The Post Card Bandit, produced by Warner Brothers TV Australia and Binge FOXTEL, which is currently shooting in Perth.
He was part of the writers room for the creation of MOODY CHRISTMAS starring Patrick Brammall (COLIN FROM ACCOUNTS) and directed by Trent O’Donnell (NO ACTIVITY). The series was picked up by FOXTVS in USA for a remake.
With nearly 100 acting credits, Anthony is known for acting roles in BETTER MAN, WAR MACHINE (opposite Brad Pitt), David Michod’s ANIMAL KINGDOM (Opposite Ben Mendelsohn and Joel Edgerton), THE ROVER opposite Robert Pattinson and Guy Pearce, Derek Cianfrance’s THE LIGHT BETWEEN OCEANS, CARGO from the producers of TALK TO ME, DANGER CLOSE with Travis Fimmel, THE SLAP, THE BOYS, Phillip Noyce’s RABBIT PROOF FENCE, MYSTERY ROAD, STRANGERS from the producers of FLEABAG and THE TWELVE with Sam Neill.
His performances have earned two AACTA Awards (Australian Academy Awards) from five nominations, a Golden Nymph award for Best Actor and another nomination at the Monte Carlo TV Festival, Silver Logie for Most Outstanding Actor in Devil’s Dust and another Silver Logie nomination and multiple nominations from the Film Critics Circle of Australia.

POLLY SMYTH
Polly Smyth is an emerging producer and screen writer based in Melbourne, Australia.
Polly worked as a Costume Designer and Costumer for twelve years in Australia and the UK on projects such as KILLER ELITE with Jason Statham and Robert De Niro, ROGUE for Greg Maclean, THE EAGLE for Academy award winner Kevin Macdonald.
In 2012 Polly studied at the Faber Academy in London, completing the Introductory novel writing course. She went on to complete the Twelve-month advanced novel writing course in 2013.
In 2019, Polly Co-wrote her first feature film GOLD- starring Zac Efron with Director and co-writer Anthony Hayes. Gold was nominated for multiple awards including two Camerimage nominations in 2022.
Polly is currently working on her first solo feature screenplay Erik (working title) and adapting her Faber Novel into a screenplay.
Polly and co-writer Anthony Hayes have the story rights to The Toy Smuggler Of Aleppo which is currently in development which she is co-producing alongside Matt Weston (Cosmic Psychos - Blokes you can trust).
