Anthony produced, directed, co-wrote, and starred in the thriller Gold (2022), starring Zac Efron which saw him nominated for the Golden Frog for Best Director at Camerimage 2022.
The film earned nominations for Best Independent Film (Saturn Awards), Best Oceanic Film (Septimus Awards), Best Cinematography (Camerimage), Best Makeup (AACTA), Best Sound (ASG), acting honours for Hayes (Best Supporting Actor, FCCA) and Efron (Best Actor, FCCA).
